While perusing this forum an ad popped up that led me to this site; https://toppsprocoingrading.ca/Is it a paid ad on this site? Anyone heard of them before? "Dipping" is not considered cleaning... -from PCGS website

Firefox flagged that as a risky site so I did not visit the page.

Just a misconfigured SSL, it's no big deal unless you're sending them your bank info or something.

My software cautioned about hitting the site, so I did not.

Quote: Just a misconfigured SSL If he's that sloppy about setting up a business web site, I'd be suspect about his grading abilities, no matter how glossy the "History", "Pricing", and "Mandate" statements are. Did this guy even try to use his site, or even test it before going on-line? Not a good start for someone trying to drum up business.

Tough business to break into, especially when your browser stops you from going there.

SSLs are very tricky, especially for beginners and even for experienced webmasters. I'm having an issue right now with the URL here that processes external feeds and turns them into topics. It's worked fine for years, but starting last week, this is what I get... I've been doing this stuff for 20 years and can't figure it out, it's only that page. I've gone over the certs, bindings, and everything else. I even revoked the cert and installed a brand spankin' new one. So don't be so quick to judge someone for something you know nothing about.

He may have had his unemployed sister-in-law create this for him and is totally unaware of what's going on.
Meanwhile, have any of you who are not paranoid, looked at the site and formed an opinion?

I don't agree with the "no big deal" aspect. I've seen entire offices infected because someone who wasn't "paranoid" clicked on a link in a random email. The point of SSL is that it's secure. If it's supposed to be secure and it isn't, I'm not going there, period. Nothing will change my mind about this.
