Tough call. Virtually EF reverse, but obverse really holds it back. I'll say net VF-25. Color seems a bit unnatural in these pics. to the CCF!

Thinking high end VF. Appears to be a bit of woody peeking through..

after rotating the obv as close as I could to its correct orientation. the MM looks like an obv die #1. the other dies are not a match for certain. I think the MM wear and flatness may be making it look a little low to match up to the first 9's tail in date, there a couple other markers for the real coin the V in the upper part of the N in UNITED is shallow which this is the dot between D & B is centered which it is the disparity in the 2 sides is extreme. typically you would not see this on a circulated coin unless there was some type of strike issue. the obv looks VF30 and reverse a high end XF45 maybe even AU. I've not seen one look like this. the coloring of the surface on both sides are a little strange as well giving the appearance of a re-colored coin. because of the wear on the MM I'm unable to tell if the die chip in the MM is there I'm fairly certain its legit. i'd call it VF35 netting the 2 sides. however that color is not right imo so it could details

I'd like it as a VF20 if buying. Technically it is a VF+.

I'll say VF at best.
Errers and Varietys.

The obverse and reverse wear are inconsistent, very odd. Also, the color is off, it could have been recolored. I can't authenticate without close-ups of the MM but it looks OK.
VF-20

Net 30 - But wondering if previously cleaned with some kind of "coating" applied that has been wearing off? And really VF20?

Thanks for all of your expert analysis. Much appreciated. I actually got the coin in and took some of my own pics so you can better assess the color and mint. I don't think that I can take it out of the holder or I'll void my return option. I don't know whether to make a new post for this but I'll try it here first.

Can you post a close up of the B in VDB?

on your new photo of the obv is that a stain at K8 and K12? I don't see them on the original photo.
i still say it nets VF30 and imo is legit die#1. I also think its re-colored. if it is it definitely would details
I'm assuming that the white line in front of the profile is on the holder

You are correct about the white line being a scratch on ymthe holder. It is quite poor. I don't see any stains. Could it be that you are referring to the shadows created by the holder fingers at 8 and 12 o'clock? Are you certain of the recoloring? If so, what detail shows it? Is there any way to remove it? Is acetone an option or should I just return it and search for a noncolored one? Thanks so much. This is by far my most expensive purchase and I want to be able to enjoy it.
