It is quite possible that when there are no other ways to find out details about a particular medal, you can try to find out the information by searching for the person whose name is engraved on the medal. And if the name is also famous, the chances increase many times over.
Sons of Mount Kisco Medal. Bronze, 1919. D = 50.7 mm.
Mintage unknown. Manufacturer - Gorham Co.

Usually the cartouche on the reverse is empty. And it's the same on my copy. I only once saw a medal with a name on the internet.
Lea Shippen Luquer
U.S.N.R.F.
1918

On the website The Historical marker database (HMdb.org) there is a section dedicated to Mount Kisco Veterans Memorial. There are photo of plaque with names participants in the WWI (photo 5). In the first column (the second from the top) is the surname of the person indicated on the reverse.

I asked a relevant question about this person there. Silence.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to find information?

That is a great medal @whc. Just to be clear though, are you asking for help finding out more about the Mount Kisco medal or the person Lea Luquer? Or are you just showing off a cool medal--that's perfectly allowed too!

I do see other examples of your medal out on the interwebs, and note that it was made by Gorham Co. Here is a link to one such mention (scroll about halfway down).

I have too many beautiful medals to waste time just showing them off. ))) Yes, I posted images once to illustrate my point, but that's it.
All the medals I write about are medals with questions.
As I wrote above, there is little information about this medal. And perhaps through the person whose name is engraved on the reverse, can learn more about her. A name on the reverse of Sons of Mount Kisco Medal is a very rare case. And the coincidence of the name on the medal with other information posted on the thematic website is an absolutely unique case.
I didn't get an answer to my question there, maybe someone can do a better work?

Here are a few more things about him - also some documentation that I think could be related to when he was awarded the medal. He had an interesting family!
