I found two nice State Quarters in my Quarter roll from the bank this week! These are in great shape for circulated coins. The first one is the better of the two, a MS state 2001 Rhode Island State Quarter. George on the obverse is really nice, clean fields and some luster. The reverse with the water waves, sail boat with clean sails has a small hit above the left bridge support that is all I could see in the reverse field. Take a look at the pics and let me know your thoughts and regards!

based on the photos I can't 66 on this one. I can't tell if the milky toning on the obv is on the coin or due to the lighting. the obv photo looks like some rub on the jaw and high point of the neck. minor rim ticks. on the rev it looks a little better but based on the photo there appears to be rub on the 2 right sails high points.

if none of this is present when you view the coin in hand
as high as MS64/65 or could be as low as AU58

can you confirm these photos are what you see in hand?

Panzaldi, here is a picture of GW 2001 P which I adjusted the light sources to be as flat as possible with my setup! I noticed the points you brought up so hopefully you will like the result. I did notice a hit near the D in United and a small amount of material on the neck below Georges ear. Also I looked at the sail highpoints on the reverse. Regards and as always I appreciate your remarks.

I'll stick with 66. By the way, did you know that Long Island is larger than Rhode Island?

new obv photo is better. I can get on board with MS66 considering your in-hand assessment did not see what the first photo set was suggesting.
