Asking The Group To Shed Some Light On This 1919 Lincoln Wheat Penny's Unusual Obverse.

Arkancharles New Member United States 10 Posts	Posted 04/25/2024 05:03 am Has anyone seen marks even remotely similar on a Wheat cent or any US coin?! At first glance, the rim had what I assumed were a few small Cud errors on the obverse. But what caused this tapered wedge shaped mark running from North to Southwest. (Lincoln's cameo actually faces the mark.) The more I try to determine what actually took place, the more I'm convinced its most likely intentional PMD or someone's attempt to deceive through replicating production errors. Any insight would be much appreciated. I can not find anything to verify either way. I really have my doubts so I would happily welcome any input on this one!
