I've had this off to the side for a while with a question mark.?
She's got some hairlines and pretty worn...but I can't figure out the "filled hole" in the center on the obverse and reverse? At first I thought it was a jewelry piece...but then I think I remember reading here...something about an off weight planchet or something and a plug to make the weight correct...idk?
11.8g's now.
Just want to label her correctly on the 2x2
Thanks for your help!

I think I recall the plug being a thing on a flowing hair dollar for weight correctness, not sure about this one.

I think that's correct. This just looks plain plugged.

Looks genuine anyway. Weight sounds about right.

I doubt we will ever know why that was done. First I've seen like it.
