Picked this up in a roll it sure looks like a dropped letter look next to the left side of Duke's name.Any thoughts

I can't tell if the letter is raised or incuse. Which is it?

Are these errors common and I know there only worth what someone is willing to buy it for but are they valuable?

I wouldn't call them really 'common' but I also wouldn't call them 'valuable'. You might squeeze $10 out of them, but $5 is a little more realistic...and don't be surprised if many wouldn't give over a dollar for them.
