Hi all. Has anyone seen varieties of this before? I did some research and found a post on Reddit from many years ago but that was it. I saw some people wanting to collect them but nobody can seem to find any. There are different messages on different state coins related to that particular State but no one knows exactly how many or who began this underground messaging. I think some are hilarious and there are hidden messages I think are cool & interesting but very rare. I'm new to coin grading but it seems something is going on on the Obverse on the bottom of the neck and nose, even though the nose is partially from the new image placed on Reverse. the message's meaning makes me wonder if I'm missing something. Maybe a prank or something at first but these coins have picked up nostalgia. I won't ruin the fun and tell you what this one means and let you look it up and read about it...anyway, anyone who knows and can share it with everyone would be awesome...Thanks!

@mic, first welcome to CCF and thanks for posting this interesting counterstamp. I believe the appropriate response now is You Humba; looking good!

to the CCF and The damage on the obverse is from the stamp on the reverse.

Counter stamped, now considered PMD unless you collect counter stamped coins. John1

@mic, HAHA Thank you, and everyone! Being a PMD doesn't surprise me. The counter stamp interested me and the story when I researched it and its meaning, and found there are others in other states with different counter stamps I wasn't sure if anyone had experience seeing one before because although I don't collect these maybe there is someone that does that would enjoy it and I can send it to them in exchange for the history behind it or why. :)

@Dearborn Thanks for looking into this. I agree. Wish I could have submitted better pics I have measurements and everything on the pics to show the obverses counterpunch area. Is the clad on the bottom of the neck abnormal? even my very close pics with scope show a difference between the 2 areas. Is The bulge of the coin not affected by the counter stamp under the right neck on the obverse just par for the course in making coins with reliefs? wish I knew more about the machines that make them
