Hi and welcome!

Unfortunately the coin is not in mint condition. It would grade maybe around the Fine grade. Price wise; it would be worth around $8.00 US according to the website I use. Feel free to take a look if you would like.

Also, just for a little further information in case you didn't know, underneath the date there is a little letter H. That stands for Heaton Mint I believe. So your coin is actually an 1874H penny. :)

Hello and WELCOME to the forum, It looks like there is a mintmark under the date. I am not familiar with the series but someone will be along to correct me if I'm wrong. I think this is a HEATON mint mark and I would guess your coin in the condition shown is worth about 12 or 14 dollars? I would guess the grade is choice fine or very fine with some very nice rims.

Well, OK maybe not "mint condition", but I think we can appreciate the coin for what it is.

We're a nice group of collectors after all--and not a TPG.

, 1874-H large date KM# 755. The obverse is in better condition VF-20, than the reverse F-12. I would grade this coin as overall F-15
with a value from $15 to $18.

echizento- How can you tell that this is a large date variety?

I don't have an example to show you the difference between the two types, but the large date fill the area from just under the waves to just above the rim. The small date is about half the size.
