I would have to agree with Kurt,.. I think the grades given on the e-bay links are just a tad too high.
It is certainly very hard to grade coins from pics, if the pics are to dark, you do not get the accurate grade. IMO

At least the pictures are large, and there are quite a few. It gives the potential buyer enough information to make an informed decision (if they know how to grade a particular coin series, anyway).. which is more than I can say for a lot of coin auctions.

I thought ebay had guidelines on putting grades on raw coins, but I may be mistaken...

The ebay rules state the subject line of the auction should not contain a grade unless the coin is in a slab from an "approved" TPG. The description can have any grade the seller likes (and often does!), just not the subject (or the little extra line under it). However, that might only be for U.S. auctions - I know a lot of their 'rules' are per-country, and I haven't peeked at Canada's. So it might not even be applicable to them. If it is, then their auctions probably would have been pulled for that infraction if they'd been reported.

It would be a lot simpler to list the sellers on ebay that grade conservatively. That list would be short enough to fit on one page. The overgraders list would take several notebooks.
