1995 D Dime ~ Is This A Double Strike?

I've seen a couple of these coins in my fledgling coin collecting. The image and letters are thicker than normal. Very pronounced, is this what a double strike is?

Oh ok, so a double strike and double die are the same thing? I knew it wasn't doubled as far as images and letting goes but the depth made me think it was struck twice.

A double strike coin is an already struck once coin getting fed back through the dies a second time and gets struck again wether centered or off centered.
A doubled die (and variants) happen certain stages before the actual dies get made where the hubbing process ends up getting doubled from multiple workings of the design.
