So. a couple years ago, when I was very new to collecting and errors; I had just gotten my first micro scope and was going through every cent that crossed my path lol. My buddy switched cars with me for a couple weeks while he went running like an antelope, across the velvet sea. Anyway hischange area was SOO FULL and I decided to go through every last coin before he got back. Which I did lol. I put anything I thought was something (again very new) in a 2x2.. I think it was only 2-3 coins. I put all the change back in his console and left the 2x2's on top.
One was a Jefferson nickel with a clipped planchet. Recently he asked me about it
(All spare you the whole story, but it was funny)
I told him to send me pictures of it and I'd post it here and get feedback. hes not a collector but would like to see what the estimated value of this sort of error is. maybe id even buy it from him.
So here are the pictures he sent. Well these are zoomed in versions of what he sent. Yes the lighting isn't and what not. So just looking for opinions based on what you see, I know the pictures arent great but its the best ive got lol

Definitely a genuine Curved Clipped Planchet. I can see the Blakesley Effect. Nice find! You can get a couple dollars for it. I would buy it off of your friend. https://www.error-ref.com/_curved_clips_/

It's a small, real, clip on a fairly nice coin. But not much value, maybe a couple dollars tops. These are fun to find, easy to see with the naked eye, and easy to collect as they don't break the bank.

nice clip on this nickel, but next time, please get the images before they go into the 2x2's (less glare and reflection from the mylar covering..)

Is it just me or is the Blakesley not 180 degrees? Might be a double clip.
