Howdy

Has any member of the forum dealt with PCGS Europe?
Any experiences good or bad to share?
Don't really have a particular aspect in mind and I'd like to leave it open-ended.

On a related note if anyone has submitted to PCGS Europe via a proxy dealer and had a positive experience can you recommend the dealer?

Thank you all!

I regularly receive messages that PCGS conducts express grading of coins and banknotes at its head office in Paris.

Thank you for sharing this! I suspect from your message that you never tried yourself? Know any collectors who tried?

Fun fact, I tried using their authorised dealer directory (at pcgs.com) for my country and so far none listed is actually aiding submissions. One even said that they only work with NGC Doesn't seem to be a lot of vetting! I'll probably email them soon to ask for some leads..

Belated response
No, I've never done that. There are only 1 or 2 dealers in Russia who are engaged in sending coins to NGC, PCGS. This is a very expensive and long procedure. I have only a few coins that I would like to evaluate, but they are not worth so much to spend so much effort, time and money on them.

In Italy, I found 5 dealers cooperating with PCGS. It seems that if you do not live in Berlin or Paris, then this will be just as difficult for you as it was for me.

I was creating a discussion topic with the question of the possibility of sending coins for evaluation through a third country (during a tourist trip). But it looks like it will be just as difficult and expensive as at home.

I am in the UK and so far I have only ran across one place that will assist with getting coins graded and it appears that they only work with NGC from their web site and their Facebook posts.

Thank you all for the replies!

I ended up reaching out to PCGS and they gave me some pointers for dealers in Germany which actually do aid submissions. I will try one soon and report back!

I think a good option would also be to find a friend in the USA or in Berlin who is sending coins for evaluation. Perhaps this would help save some energy and money. I searched for people here (on the forum) but didn't come up with anything.

Looking at the news from the same NGC, I understand that they are more concerned about the Asian market.
