Picked this up for 35$
Thankful for input

Im guessing aut58 to low ms old cleaning
Tried to get this old holder opened? Clamps look old.
But it doesn't seem to be a pocket inside just thin plastic glued to holder?
Anyone have experience of these?

wow that coin was entombed. you would have to cut that out of there. it is causing issues with you photos though. two of the photos make the coin super washed out as if it was over dipped and original skin was removed. lighting is pretty bad so that could cause this look.

tough call slider or AU details (cleaned)

Thank you all :)
im reluctant to remove it before I have an idea of how old holder is.
I have no luck finding old staples online, I would be kinda neat if its a holder from the 50s or 60s

the staples can be removed if done slow and and carefully, if you have a hard time finding staples there see if you can just get some airtites there. not sure what you have available. if you have any LCS's around they probably would have something that would work. its not like this is rare coin so I wouldnt be overly concerned other than the staples, if the coin was butted against another coin, could scratch that one. so I wouldnt stack it with others if you can't flatten or remove it

Im mostly concerned about the holder if its really old, the plastic is superthin andfeels attached to coin/holder.

Thinking its sad to ruin the holder if its old and rare.
Otherwise I would break out the coin in one sec

The reason the coin is sticking to the plastic is surface contamination
of some sort . Get the coin out of there !
The older holder being of value , I think not!

I've ripped open (carefully...) a few dozen old looking yellow and blue 2x2 flips over the years. Someone told me long ago they date back to the 50s and 60s. Once opened, into the trash I sent them.

Why does your title call this a 'Cull'. That term specifically applies to coins worn down to barely identifiable.

I see a coin that is likely AU state, certainly not a Cull
