Thank you Frog, always helpful, I know you love blotchy coins :)

Thing is most of that I think is some oily substance, even on the reeding, and the feel and smell was exactly as when you et into and old greasy engine,

if its oilbased substance should one let it lie in acetone for long time?

AU something - maybe even a details coin from the gashes on obverse and the reverse scratch. But for 35$ , not bad.

i''d probably call this one AU details ( PMD) but I've seen morgans looking like this grade straight. so if I had to assign a grade i'd say AU55

AU-55. Looks like tone and not damage to me. Acetone won't remove it, you'd have to use something like E-Z-Est coin dip.

If it feels sticky, acetone would probably get whatever is causing that off.

Well soaked it in acetone for 2 hours the gently rubbed it under varm water with thumb. Then rinsed it in distilled water.
I think I see improvment but I'm afraid to scratch
