This is the first time I've found a 22d. Would this be considered a weak D?

as far as I can tell the coin does not match any of the obv die pairs designating weak "D" . i'd call it G6 could push VG as the 22's grade a little different

A little difficult to estimate a grade, given the images posted. It's possible it could fall in the low to mid VG range.

Those 1922-D cents are somewhat tricky to grade as the series was plagued with weak strikes. I'd say this is more a long the lines of a worn-D mintmark. As to grade, looks as high as a F-12 as the hair detail isn't as worn down to my eyes with a possible weakly struck reverse.

I'd say VG-8, and not a weak D.
