I am making a wish list. What would you consider to be the 3 most coveted versions of Silver Eagles without taking grading as a criteria? I am favoring the following:

1. 1995 W Poof
2. 2019 Enhanced Reverse Proof
3. 2008 W (Unc.) Reverse of 2007

Well, I believe you listed (in order) the three lowest mintage ASEs, so many collectors will agree with your list.

I don't collect the series - I have a few, but don't pursue the complete series - but I would likely replace the 2008/Reverse of 2007 ASE with the 2020-W V75 Silver Eagle. I like the fact it was the first ASE with a Privy Mark and find the 2008/2007 error easy to miss if you don't know what to look for - I would prefer more easily noticed design variations.

That's making a pretty short list!
If you want explanations, let me know.

1995W

2013W Enhanced Uncirculated

2011S
I see this as mainly a favorites list

Great Topic,

Being the American Silver Eagles Series Started in 1986, Your " List " has Three All-Stars, Three Low Mintage ASE's.

Do You Want the All-Stars or the Entire Mint Marked Series, Every Single Mint Marked coin the United States Minted?

People collect the ASE Series for Many differing reasons, Are you seeking the Entire Series Too, ?

Many people do NOT collect Graded examples, I Too collect this Entire Series, All Original Government Packaging. Know your Coins, I use the 4TH Edition American Silver Eagles, A Guide to the U S Bullion Coin Program, Great Reference.

As far as the " list " Just because the Mintages are Low, or Some Fancy Certain coins over the Posted Low Minted Coins, in that book, People tend to collect which
"All-Stars" they Wish to collect, Whatever You Choose, Best Wishes, Well Worth The Efforts to Collect......... PS, Gilly, Go For It !!!!, Please

Not a lot of time now.
The 1995W, probably doesn't need a lot of explanation. Probably at or near the top of everyone's 3 coin list.

The enhanced uncirculated is the only one they've done in that finish and I think is the most beautiful ASE of all.

The 2012S is the only Uncirculated finish that isn't a W and to me makes it very unique, even though not extremely rare or special looking. I just like it. It's hard picking out favorites when you really love them all

The 2020-W V75 is a good choice.

In that case, it might be nice have to have three different finishes represented. Keep the first two on your list and swap out the last one for the 2013W Enhanced Uncirculated.

Gilly,

The Uncirculated Choices are Well Noted, The Fact they ONLY made ONE Enhanced Uncirculated Has a Very Special Place in My Collection Too......

Thanks for Your Input.....

This series has MANY All Stars in the Line up,WW2 Privy marks, Enhanced Proofs, Enhanced Reverse Proofs S , Reverse Proofs, "Burnished ", The 2011 5-Coin ASE Set is Very Sweet, Enhanced Uncirculated.

Not to Mention as GILLY stated, The 1995 ASE and it's Nesting GOLD Eagles, needs No Introduction, Being The Key to The Series.......

Mojojojo Your Correct, " The 2019 , Pride of Two Nations has a ASE, an Enhanced Reverse Proof, West Point and a RCM $5 Maple Leaf has

a " Modified Proof Finish ".....

Off the Cuff, I Believe The United States Mint Has NOT minted a "Enhanced Proof. "...... I Could Be Wrong, As Seen........

I read a good article about displaying a collection

https://www.numismaticnews.net/coll...cy-if-so-how

Good article Dearborn, I am very guarded about my collection, the display I'm planning is for my own satisfaction
