Once you have your copper quarter you can then use ebay to turn it into 'gold'! Your post made me wonder if I could find the opposite process. Turning copper into silver or even gold. Well guess what... Here's the video on how to turn copper coins into silver and gold. These are scary because it looks as if you can retain the original luster along with the change in color! Ebay IS going to be overloaded with fake off-metal errors, as if it's not already. I can recall doing school science experiments in the early 70's on Lincoln cents. I think it involved plating them (electro-plating). Not like the cool experiment shown in this post.
