Ebay IS going to be overloaded with fake off-metal errors, as if it's not already. From what I'm seeing with these videos I know I'd be hard pressed to say if they were real errors or not from just images!

I can recall doing school science experiments in the early 70's on Lincoln cents. I think it involved plating them (electro-plating). Not like the cool experiment shown in this post.
