1943 Cent Doubled Die Obverse / DDO ? RPD? Or Just Some Weird Corrosion Effect?

roach Valued Member United States 364 Posts	Posted 05/29/2024 07:27 am This 1943 Steel cent has what appears to be rather distinct doubling of the 43. It does have what looks like mild corrosion. I can't find any mention of any variety that looks like this in any of the references I have looked in. My inclination is to assume its a fake or its due to some weird corrosion effect that has created a "shadow" of the 43.
