I can't tell much from these pictures. What leads you to believe that the slab has been tampered with?

Looks like there might be some damage on the left obverse side. Post a pic of what you suspect is tampering.

The slab is damaged, and it occurred after it was imaged at NGC... https://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/2040729-005/61/

Better images would let us match the distinctive marks on the coin.

Can't tell if it's been tampered with but it sure looks like it's been damaged.

Some slab damage but that is not uncommon. NGC will reholder a coin for $5 so long as the damage is too minor to allow the coin to be removed. From the photos seems like it is the same coin - reverse toning is distinctive.
