Brandmeister Pillar of the Community United States 6473 Posts	Posted 05/31/2024 3:53 pm Purchased inexpensively on ebay. Coin was sold as a clipped planchet by a shop that specializes in error coins. The quarter appears to have been circulated for a while before it was rescued as a mint error. Report this Post to the Staff

I think that was the result of being stored in a plastic flip in a humid environment. The quarter is definitely AU though. It has circulation rubbing in all the expected areas.
