I have four 1974 and two 1975 Lincoln Cent rolls from many years ago I have broken open one of the 1974 rolls but I am not sure how to tell if any of the coins might graded above MS-65.

I am attaching pictures of four random coins from the opened roll can anyone help me to find out how to check them out without sending all of them in for grading.

#2 coin looks like the only one that might be MS-65RD.

Not seeing any thing so far even close to meriting grading.

Given the sampling posted, I would not suggest sending any in for grading. It appears you're looking at lower end MS coins--MS61-64. They'd need to be in the MS66+ range, or preferably much better. The posted pics are showing coins with 'bag marks' (rubs/ticks/dings).

None of them are worth sending in to be graded.

GREAT pictures!

1974 large date variety, all of them look typical for an OBW roll, MS-63. To get the high grades the fields must be pristine.

Thank you all for that great information, I am happy to have asked instead of sending any in and wasting money.

Should I put the best ones in a holder or just leave them all stored in the penny roll?

Store them on a plastic cent sized coin tube, out of paper rolls.

i agree, none are 65 or above

go to PCGS pricing site and they post MS66's and above there for comparison

1. MS63+
2. MS64
3. MS63
4. MS64

Coin #3 looks a tad bit off center. Might check the edge and diameter for anything out the ordinary. Thanks, Doug.
