I got this penny and have researched all the errors on the internet, but cannot find one like it. Is it a Cud, or is it something else? Please help me? I want to know if it is worth grading, or if it has any value? Thanks much everyone.

Looks like someone used a Dremel tool on the obverse and was having fun dressing up Mr Lincoln. So definitely post mint damage and not valuable except in copper. A Cud is a die break at the rim of a coin leaving that portion unstruck and is considered a mint error...

A friend who is not a serious collector said that is what he thought it might be. I was hoping he was wrong. But I am new and I understand getting the truth is always best. Thanks for your reply. I would like a few more opinions before I toss the coin in the trash. Any value? To anyone?

Appears to be PMD to me. Some sort of intentional damage to this one.

Alright folks! I fully understand it now. No need to continue to give feedback for my sake. I will throw it away so I do not have to give it another thought. I appreciate your expertise. Thank You

Yeah - I hung on to it because it was odd. I have dozens of damaged coins I saved, from the 100,000 pennies I scoped in the past year, and I saved those damaged coins because some people have paid $20-$300 for some like mine on ebay. I haven't sold any coins yet, and I am starting to figure out now, what is real and what is damaged. Just had a lot of fun looking at all those pennies, and hoping to find a DDO or a rare coin. I have found lots of errors and varieties. Thanks for your help everyone. By the way, what is CCF mean?
