Hi I found this clearly damaged penny, just wondering if you guys think if it's damage that's making it look doubled or DD...?

Looks like circulation flattening plus Die Deterioration to me but lets get the opinon of some of the experts for a more definitive answer.

What Centinal said, plus the same master hub had been used for nearly a decade, so even a fresh working die does not make the best looking 1968 Lincoln Cent. You will notice that the motto is all the way against the rim.
