Hi everyone, hopefully posting in the correct area. Looking for some assistance with this poor condition 1943 P War Nickel. I've added the best photos I can (novice to both numismatics and how to create good images). There appears to be PMD on the reverse but on closer inspection, it looks too unusual a displacement. To me at least. Any help much appreciated.

Looks like it might be a lamination but sharper photos are needed. These are very blurry.

these images are very blurry and out of focus - can you provide better?

It is a nice silver nickel with some extensive wear on it though.

Thanks for the replies and welcome. I'm sure I will improve my photography skills, still not as sharp as I'd like but a little clearer I think.

Thanks again for your help.

Thanks again for the replies. Now that you've identified this for me, I've quickly read up a little on laminations. From images of others and though it's a poor condition coin, I do like the lamination on this one. Particularly the way 'America' is displaced but still visible. One to keep, I don't have many variety type coins so thanks for the education everyone.

with lamination.

Separation happened frequently on the new 35% silver War Nickel alloy. The Mint clearly had some mixing and rolling problems with that metal combination.

I will introduce myself as a new member and backstory at some point. I'm currently attempting to go through a large number of coins both British and U.S. This one was in a small bag of Nickels, so not sure exactly where it came from.

Thanks again for all the good will.
