Yes exactly. If this was a clashed die, then the transfer of design would occur on the high points of the dies (which are the low points of the coins, such as the field around Abe's head). Instead the transfer of design is on the high points of the coin which means that you have a spender here.

And, reversed lettering/features is a good sign of one coin having its image transferred to another.

Could have been two coins put in vise, the damaged rev. was the metal side of vise.

Also note that the letters on the face are backwards... This is a Vise/hammer job. We see lots of these 'manufactured' so called error coins. (Especially on the Lincoln Cent coins as the metal is much softer in order to make an impression.)
