Came across this french 1855 upside downn eagle cinq centimes.
i read on here something about the Dix centimes and upside down eagle but this one is cinq.
Any tjoughts or info would be appreciated as allways..

That's coin alignment, normal for this coin.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

It is "upside down" compared to regular Australian coins, but this orientation was normal or French coins, right up until the introduction of the euro.

This is still the "normal" orientation for American coins, and for coins from several Latin American countries.
