This is just a clipped Roosevelt dime, but it has all of the 'bells and whistles' that you would expect to find on a clipped coin.

It shows a strong Blakesley effect opposite the clip that's flat and wide on the obverse, with a bit of collar clash in that area on the reverse. The devices that are clipped show the usual metal flow into the missing area.

The coin also shows slight misalignment of the dies, both obverse and reverse, but not in the same direction or to the same extent. It shows additional collar clash due to the misalignment as well.

Everything together makes for an interesting example of an incomplete planchet or clipped planchet strike.

A silver Roosevelt dime is worth about $2.25 with silver at $31.05 per ounce, so that missing chunk of my dime is worth almost 14¢. I'm going to go looking for it. It's only been 66 years, so someone must know where it went... right? When I find that person or persons, I'll demand that they give me what's mine. Silver doesn't grow on trees after all. smh
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

Your funny. I think I know where all the bites of coins are ( gold and silver). A Dragon is hoarding them in a cave. So hold onto your change, he will take a even chunk of it.

I forget that Tropicalbats calls the effect on the rim we see at the edges of the clip. (Bryan's effect? ) something like that.
