Long story short, life has been really, really, really financially cruel lately. To the point of having to file for bankruptcy but not being able to afford to, even after I've sold off all of my silver hoard and my pokemon card collection. Guess who wrecked her car yesterday? Me. Just living the dream. The best bet possible to save the situation was a contact I had with with a major auction house. Send the coin, they'd grade it, give me an advance against the expected final sale price, and then put it up on consignment. But, it just came back graded, and even though my contact saw the die polish marker, I've seen it, I've posted pictures before even, non-pattern reverse. No advance possible, because there's no telling what it'll sell for now. I'm crying.

Sorry to hear about all the problems you have been experiencing lately. I hope it gets better for you.
Can you please post up the dollar reverse for us here and a close up of the tail feathers. (I'm wondering why NGC calls it a 'regular reverse')

Sorry to hear about the problems you're having. I hope it gets better soon. Nice coins though. I'd definitely get that Cheerios dollar coin regraded.

Whoa! I just looked at the images on NGC and it IS the FS-902 Cheerios Reverse!!! What do they mean by Regular?!? It needs to be regraded! I sold my Cheerios Dollar and Cent in 2019. It was PCGS certified, but it got the same MS-67 and MS-66. It sold for $4200.00 at auction through Heritage. Where is your coin going to be listed? Make sure they know it IS the FS-902 Prototype Reverse! While I hope this is just an honest mistake, don't let anyone tell you that it isn't worth anything. It's simply NOT TRUE! This IS THE GOOD COIN! Image from NGC Coins Click on the picture for a larger image

First time seeing an example of the FS-902 Cheerios Reverse, but from what I just read, and by the images posted here, your's looks to be the much more valuable "Bold Tail Feathers" version.

The FS-902 in MS-67 condition can fetch several thousand dollars at auction! Good luck to you Saint Ridley.

Sorry to hear of your troubles.
Looks like you need to have NGC regrade that coin.
Take a look at my other hobby ... http://www.jk-dk.art

Am I missing something here? They labeled it a cheerios dollar with a regular back. Is there such a thing as a cheerios dollar that doesn't have a cheerios back? If it has a regular back, it would be a regular dollar. ?

@Cujohn Yes, a few of the dollar coins have been removed from the Cheerios packaging by Third Party Graders only to find regular reverse coins struck for well-used dies. It's thought that some of the original batch of FS-902 reverse coins may have been lost or damaged, and the mint replaced then later in the year with normal issue Sacagawea dollars.

Ok, I got to ask. What makes a cheerios dollar a cheerios dollar? Just being in a cheerios package, or having the different back?

I also have to ask, where in god's creation did I hide my Cheerios coins. I have looked for months in all my junk drawers & boxes. I have about 10 of them never opened or studied for the known varieties.
