Excellent! Clearly the large cent was quite worn on the edges due to massive circulation. Wear is not restricted to the faces of coins, although it is more obvious there.

Thank you, everyone! Quote: Clearly the large cent was quite worn on the edges due to massive circulation. Wear is not restricted to the faces of coins, although it is more obvious there. That is a good point, I hadn't thought of that. I'm sure wear is a factor, but I also think the hole is still too large. I've noticed there is a variation in the hole sizes, even with uncirculated coins. Some holes are a little loose, others a little snug. At the bottom of Page 5, I filled the Modern Commemorative Dollar hole with a 2016-P Mark Twain uncirculated silver dollar. The coin was in a PCGS MS-69 slab, but I cracked it out for the album (which was much harder to do than with the ANACS slab). I read Huckleberry Finn three times back in high school and grew to appreciate Mark Twain. I also love the design and have wanted to get one ever since I missed the boat in 2016.

The last hole I filled is coincidentally the last hole in the album, a 1994 Silver American Eagle:

Great start to a fun set. Quote: I went through my collection to see what holes I could already fill. My first completed hole was the Large Cent, Draped Bust, 1796-1807: a 1798 2nd Hair Style cent, S-181, EDS, with a 45° rotated reverse. It's my only 18th century U.S. coin. Annoyingly the album hole is way too large. Only the slides are holding the coin in place. I've run into the same problem. It's aggravating to have a coin that rotates. I've cut thin strips of the paper inserts made for the 2x2 clear plastic flip & put them around the edge of the coin to get a better fit. I used the paper inserts because they are supposed to be inert.

Picked up this 1861 Three Cent Silver coin in a CACG holder for my 7070. Haven't cracked it open yet, but I will shortly. I liked the toning on this one and its Civil War connection.

Congratulations on starting your journey, CollegeBarbers! And then, one day, when you finally fill in that last hole, you can do what I did and start the process of slowly upgrading them all for the rest of your life...
