Last year I bought a Vietnam $2 coin in the original packaging for RRP ($15). Since then I have been at a crossroads on whether or not I should sell it. I feel like it is an investment coin rather than a collectible I would be willing to hold on to, but .

Would it be profitable if I sold it? recent ebay prices have shown they have sold for between $50-$70, so I personally feel it would be profitable.

Any input is helpful. Thanks

If you sell it for $15.01 it is profitable. If you sell it for $1000000000 it is profitable. Any price over $15 is profitable so not really sure what you are asking. How much profit you want is something only you know the answer to.

You have $15 into it. Sell it for more than that at a time when you are really hard up for cash.

Worth noting that both ebay will take 10% and also paypal if you use it will have their cut and I guess taxes too.
I think at the end of the day with any coin for investment the decision should be where you think it can go from here.
I don't really think coins that were designed as collectables can go up super fast in the short term. If this is the colorized AUD 2 dollar 2023 vietnam war anniversary coin I would personally say that you should sell it if you can get that sort of money for it because in my view colorized stuff is quite gimmicky and not really going to appreciate a lot especially if its not silver. I would sell it and buy some other stuff if I were you but that's just my opinion.

Your talking about $35 in profit minus ebay fees, time value of money, shipping supplies, shipping costs.

There's barely any profit in selling 1 item.
