Spotted Shilling - To Dip Or Not To Dip?

The detail on the reverse is pretty impressive and really the main reason I bought the coin. The obverse (Queen Victoria side) is also nice, but seems to have some spotting. I know it is probably not milk spotting like you would see on bullion, but it looks like something similar. I'm wondering if anyone knows what this is and whether an acetone bath would be warranted? As for this example, you may give it an acetone bath if you want, but I believe it looks okay as is.
