Looks overdipped to me. I would pass. When coins are dipped too much they have this washed out lack of luster look. This one to me has that look.

If you can get it for a good price go for it. But it should be discounted due to stain by 5th star and perhaps being dipped.

From the pictures I see a lifeless, over dipped Morgan.

I agree it looks overdipped with very muted luster. It's a common date, and if it's a details coin, it's value is not much more than a circulated Morgan.

An over dipped Morgan dollar. I'll say MS-63 on the grade. Glad you passed on it.

she has been overdipped. there's fine line between cleaning up a coin and moving into the details designation box. lighting/glare can enhance what if any luster remains and I think thats what we are seeing here. there are so many really nice 80(s) out there you don't need to buy sub-par examples of it.

i think the pics is taken in daylight I see not direct light. The seller is not a collector so its inherited coins. The back looks to have a satiny look or something

Dip job, might straight grade but it's a poor quality example of a date that is easily available in very high grades

Might also be some rim issues

Well as a follow up I got some more pics, idk if they help. Its hard to get people that are not familiar with coins take photos the way you want. And you don't want to be to annoying
