I upgraded my Fugio Cent! This community proved very helpful when I considered some options from Early Cents/Frisco Mint and other sources--and thanks to the great advice I received here, I just waited. A local show last weekend introduced the opportunity to get this beauty at the right price. While the die clashing is not as strong as I would like, I personally don't mind it being a little off center. My favorite motto "Mind Your Business" is clear, the details are sharp, and the color is consistent and right.

i remember when I got my first Red Book way back in the 60's and saw this coin listed in the book. I was so fascinated by it wishing someday I would own one. it never happened

i havent had the opportunity to grade enough of these to make an accurate assessment but this one sure is a stellar example. the differences between a high AU (58) and low MS coin is not easy.

another killer coin by Adam. just from not seeing any circulation wear on the highest devices I have to go MS and agree with MS62

congrats Adam on the this addition

Don't know the intricacies of this coin. I think there is light wear, AU-58. Quite an example.

MS 63. I think some of the appearance of wear may just be die wear. Fabulous coin!

Excellent example!

I'm in at mid-AU on grade and extending my congratulations for acquiring such a lovely historical coin.

Really nice example. The various tiny raised cracks and marks I see (especially on the reverse) are I presume caused by incuse defects in the dies. Those features seem sharp and distinct, with no visible friction. In-hand inspection would be required to determine if there is friction in the fields but this has the original look of a mint state piece. I'd venture MS-62 BN, with excellent eye appeal.

@t360: I should have done that. Next time I will.

Grading these things is really hard, especially with the worn die factor.
