Thanks, @Zurie! Was I wrong in calling this "die clashing?" Can I ask what is the difference between PIDT and die clashing?

It's not really a die clash, since the image is transferred gradually through the planchet over multiple strikes, rather than from a direct hit of the obverse and reverse dies. Here's a better explanation.
