(they don't add the MM's to the cent coins.) The initials are 'FG' not 'EG' If you have any questions about this coin ask away - we are here to (hopefully) answer them. Collecting since 1972. Notable career achievements, including the creation of many medals and designing the reverses of the Lincoln Cent in 1959 and Kennedy half dollar in 1964. Your 1981 One Cent looks to be quite circulated from your photos, and probably all those things you mention are just circulation hits & wear. If you are interested in varieties and errors, I would strongly suggest studying up on sites like, varietyvista.com, error-ref.com and doubleddie.com.
