You have done a good job if the camera was handheld!

It looks as though at least some of your blurring is a depth of field issue. This is due to a large aperture.

The only ways to get a greater depth of field (ie distance in focus at the same time) are to make your aperture smaller. But, this of course then brings in other issues as you will need more light, which generally means a longer exposure. Which in turn, potentially means more time for movement and therefore more blurring of a different sort. Or to move farther away, which is defeating the object slightly.

You really need a rig to hold the camera steady. Then use a self timer to set off the exposure, so there is less movement as you are not squeezing the shutter release.

hmmm, a lot of that went right over my head quicksilver. lol The camera for my shots was handheld. in one hand actually and I hold the magnifying glass over the lens with my other hand. then I hold my breath and try not to let me heart beat so it wont cause any shaking on the camera and then click. the way I am doing I have to take the same shot a whole bunch of times just to be sure and then I select the best one of the bunch to post.

I guess its obvious that isn't the easiest way.
