It looks like the outer edge was never struck. Too uniform and no marks that look like someone did themselves. Haven't found any like it to compare to could use some help

I'm thinking post strike damage--the coin didn't leave the striking chamber in that condition.. Damage was likely deliberate--heavily abraded. What does the reverse look like?

@jack, first welcome to CCF. Second, these are typically due to mechanical abrasion. The weight should be low and the edge reeds should be there, albeit narrower due to the rims having been sanded away. Can you please post a picture of the reverse too for completeness? Thx.

To CCF! It's been damaged after it left the U.S. Mint. Probably been sanded down on the edges. Not an error coin.

I kind of assumed this was the case. I just wondered because how uniformed and also no marks that look like sanding
