Hello All!

I've had this dollar since I was a kid. Being a curious child, I would inspect every aspect of all the currency I had. And either it was the childlike imagination, or some kind of misprint, but I saw a clear llama's front half in the hidden Jackson face.

I took the bill to a local coin shop, but they couldnt tell me anything about it. Only that it wasnt counterfit.

So I'm wondering if I'm just 'seeing an image in the clouds', or if there was some sort of error that happend to cause an image show up.

The images are a little hard to see if you arent in person, so you might not be able to see it. But the llama is facing to the right, with its head just to the right of Jacksons hairline, right before the printed tree. It's neck and torso go down past the right side of Jacksons eye. You can even sometimes see a collar around the lammas neck.

Everyone I've shown this to in person eventually see it. But that may just be me pushing my imagination onto them. I found that once you see it, you can't unsee it. And it becomes a more clear image if you move it a little futher away.

So below I have posted a picture of the front of the bill, and then 2 of the back with the face shinging through.

If no one has an answer to what this is, I would love it if someone else has a $20 bill of same year, federal reserve, and printing location, to see if their bill also has the image, or if the one I have is unique.

Thank you for all the assistant!

Most likely it is Pareidolia. I have not heard or read about a llama note. Steve is our note guy, let's see if he or other members chime in.
I also edited your title a bit.

It's a circulated note with a fold next to the watermark. There is no llama. It's just your brain taking random objects and making a non existent object appear. Think of a cloud looking like a bunny or horse or eagle. Random shapes that your brain changes to a familiar object.

Good news: I see the llama! Bad news: It's like a Rorschach test, in that the brain is trying to discern a familiar pattern from chaos. Look online for another similar bill and see if it looks about the same.

A llama is not what I see, but that is the nature of Pareidolia.

Serious collectors have zero interest in unusual variations in watermarks unless, A) The watermark is completely missing, or B) The watermark is the incorrect image. Watermark are created with the manufacturer of the security paper, which in this case is Crane. As the currency stock dries at the mill, slight variations in the president's portrait are possible.
