I need a little help with these two. I don't know if the '52 d is anything although the 5 and the 2 look to have some out of the norm characteristics. The '47 I believe is a doubled die, but I need some different opinions. Sorry about the pics, that's the best I could do. I hope they are helpful.

Hi,
I really don't see anything out of the ordinary. The coins exhibit wear and that's about it.

Thanks,
Bill

Umm, no. I disagree.

The 1952D is a normal cent with Machine Doubling.

The 1947 is 1947P-1DO-001, a decent class 1 doubled die. I can tell from the notching on the 4 and 7.

I thought those were just bag marks or something.

I didn't see anything in the pics at first either, but after Chuck pointed out the notches and the listing number I could definately see it. I guess it was the angle the pic was taken but my eyes were focusing on the NW part of the date. After comparing cconrad's pics with a pic of a 1947P-1DO-001 it all came together. If it can be authenticated then nice find cconrad.

I was almost sure that the '47 was a doubled die. It was hard for me to get the lighting right for the pics, so it was a little hard to see the notching but you can really tell it when you look straight down on it. It also looked a lot different from my other '47's.
