I have yet to find a 2024 nickel and it's almost September. Have you other collectors had a hard time getting any?

Yeah I'll say it again, have not seen one 2024 minted coin here, even though we are semi-secluded here in the mountains we usually get current model year coins by May/June.

The only 2024 coins I have seen in circulation in Connecticut are a few nickels and quarters. I believe I got them all from the same store.

Mintage is quite low so far, as reported by the U.S. Mint. Time will tell if more are cranked out in the final 1/3 of 2024.
Latest numbers: less than 37 million Ps and less than 33 million Ds — kind of on par with 2009.

2024 mintage numbers for U.S cents and dimes are also way down, at least compared to the usual lofty levels

I've seen a few here in the eastern U.S., including a D, which is unusual so early in the year.

2024 is rivaling 2009 as far as mintages. I bought my 2024 nickels and dimes from dealers for my albums. If I find any in my change, I am gonna leave them in the wild for others.
2009 was the depth of the Great Recession. Scares me a bit seeing the mintages drop this much.

Would this mintage number be considered "low" now a days? Maybe the rolls are being hoarded? "2024-P Jefferson 5-cent coin production totals 29.76 million 2024-D coins and 31.44 million 2024-P coins."

Normal mintages for both mints (P and D) for the past few years have been between 1 and 1.5 billion each year. 2024 is definitely very low, like 2009.
