I'll say VG-10, perhaps F-12.

VF-20 Been keeping an eye on 1814 dimes the past couple years on ebay and have come to learn that eye appealing circulated issues such as this are very tough. Not many come around! Best of luck, hope you win it.

Thanks all.
Jacrispies, you are right, it is tough to find large dia circulated large capped bust dimes in respectable shape. This one is in the bag, net at $117.

The reverse rim is hardly complete at K1-2. Just don't see this in a VF holder.

Could be a Fine, I am not confident in grading bust dimes under mid VF. $117 is a great price! Time to get the other die marriages

On the other hand, I can't see any dealer at a show marking this as a fine.

Really, how confident are you about this? If you are, I'll offer a wager.

Looks all original, low grade, but still in very collectible condition.

It's looks like a nice Fine from here (armchair quarterback you know). I wouldn't go over 15 tops.

The pics above are certainly blurry. For me, the subject coin is a solid F15. Frog, missing rims and no denticles seem to be very common for 1814 VF20 and VF25 NGC and PCGS examples. Below is a typical VF20. Certain aspects of the PCGS example below look better than the subject coin, others worse, IMO. As long as the subject coin looks like the pics, I'll be happy.

With respect, the subject coin and your example are hardly comparable on either side.

No worries, Frog, never said or intended to suggest this coin was VF. Given your comment about the reverse rim, I thought I'd share what I've seen on that subject, and the PCGS example I posted was a good example. The devices on this coin are certainly weaker than the VF20.
If it was a clean VF20 coin I'm sure it would have cost more like $250.
