Second coin from my dad's collection. I'll add 1/4 section shots as needed for follow-up.

EF-45, - most common grade for type.

Close to the average grade for all of the different Morgans that are in my possession.

ZanderMan81,
What are you using to take photos with?
What is your light source?

I'm leaning XF40 but its right there at 45. I think the eye appeal will hold it back

Bought a cheap ring light off Bezos, clip it to my iPhone SE and set it above the coin on a cup. Trying not to use digital zoom because artifacts and moved from black to white background for better compression but still... 300KB limit has its limits on fidelity. A better iPhone may take better pics... or my wife's digital SLR.

Ring light is not on in this photo... flares out my crappy old Android I used to take this pic.

I think my question now is...

I have a dozen more Morgan/Peace dollars that I could photograph and post for grading. Would that be annoying? I'd be smart to learn how to grade myself but then I'd be drawing on near-zero newb experience.

Also not that happy with the results from my iPhone SE after looking at the coin photography section.

I've just noticed that you live in Hillsborough. Raleigh Coin Club meets not too far from Hillsborough, and we would like to have you drop by for a meeting if you can. You would be welcome to bring coins you have questions about and someone in the club would be happy to talk with you.
