They struck 34,200 of the 1909-O half eagles and they must have gone somewhere! Seems like a decent chance this coin could be one. Please let us know the result of your submission. I usually check all the raw "1909-D" half eagles I see at coin shows, just in case a New Orleans coin was mis-identified. I have found a couple worn 1909-O Barber quarters that were mistakenly identified as Denver coins. |
