I noticed this nickel was different than the others. Is it an error or just a human caused error?

Not an error per say but The coin has a gold tint. Want to know what was the cause of this maybe?

Tint/toning is the result of the coin being exposed to environmental agents--metal surfaces react. What does the reverse look like?

to CCF.
I have a few nickels that have toned out this way also. I think it is because the copper in the alloy has migrated to the surface of the coin due to heat being applied to it.
