Does anyone know what this small line is at the bottom of my 1928-A funnyback? I have seen lots of "cut lines" on bills, but always horizontally on the margin. This line appears vertically and directly in the center.

They are called "alignment marks" in the printing world.

Looks like a registration mark used for alignment.

Ahh, okay. Thanks guys. That seemed to be the only thing that made logical sense but I just wanted to make sure because I'm still new to collecting bills
