Ah, it finally arrived, soon to be a birthday gift to the wife :) Here is an 1898 5 Rubles (4.31gr) in VFish condition. My choice of this coin was based on the fact Czar Nicholas is on the coin and Jen loves anything associated with Anastasia. Probably going to get one of those little picture frames (kinda like the ones you can frame a stamp in, very small) from Hobby Lobby and have it matted and mounted behind glass for her.

So it's mine for just a short period of time, alas :(

Take Care
Ben

Thank You "kidcollector", Thank You "Georgiestar". Thank You both I'm no expert on gold coinage, but a good refrence book can be very helpful when looking for a modestly priced piece. This one was only $99 US or about $81 Euros.

Take Care
Ben

This one seems to be a world favorite. Believe it or not, I know a fellow (in Modesto California) who looks exactly like the czar and many people have told him so. And of course, he collects gold coins of the czar. He is a person of means- yes, he has taken two of these golden 5 roubles and made cuff links of them. He had it done by encasing the coin- so as not to ruin the coin. To each his own- I say. Habiru001

Such 5 gold rubles rubles are quite small. I owned a few of them but I didn't like their small size and I sold them a few years ago...

A really nice coin Bonedigger.

Hope your wife appreciates it.

The only thing a female likes other than gold is diamonds.

I got more double head eagle in my collection. You can check it at the following link: http://www.omnicoin.com/user_view.aspx?id=gxseries Make sure you click on "Russia" under "Show coins from" or else you would be browsing the rest of my collection, although half of my collection currently are Russian. :)
