Hi,
I am trying to find or at least get the information
to find, a coin that recently sold on ebay. The
auction was for a lot of three Jewish coins.
The one I was interested in was silver. On the obverse
is a wonderful raised picture of Noah's ark. On the
reverse is a menorah with Gen: 8-11..."and lo, in her
mouth an olive leaf freshly plucked".
I don't know where the coin originated and so am posting
here in world coins. I also do not have a date.
I tried to get a photograph from the seller, but she
said she was sorry, that she deleted the picture right
after she mailed the coins to her buyer.

I'm hoping that someone here will recognize this coin
and give me enough information to find one.

Thanks so much!!

Hi cabbagerose

Welcome to the forum !!

The Menorah Identifies the coin as being from Isreal this is a common symbol on their coins ,, I have looked thru my Krause which goes back to 1900 sorry I dont have the older editions, but I find nothing matching your description.

It maybe a commerative or something of that type.

be patient lets see what info others can find !!

Thanks, Rick, for the time you took in looking
through your book for this.

I just had an email from the seller of the
coin and she gave me some additional information!!

The coin had no year, but it was inscribed on
the smooth edge...

MACO STERLING JUDAIC HERITAGE SOCIETY - 0259

Maybe this will help!

Thanks!!!
Deb

Sounds like it was a medal or medallion rather than a commemerative,, try googling the makers name and see what you come up with ,, perhaps they can be contacted directly for info on the medal ,, and if there are any available.

You can also enter the name of the medal into your wants area of ebay and be notified if and when another comes up forsale.

Hope this helps !!

This looks like something you described:
it has two silver and one gold version.
Here's the page to all of them:

Hope this helps.

Searching for this coin, I realised how beautiful commemoratives Israel has.
