Can some one please tell me if this is a small date or large date? Also, the D looks like multiple strikes or D over something else ? Please let me know what you think. I really do apologize if the pictures are not good. Thank you for your time.

Large date, I'm thinking. It's customary to post full, large and sharp pics of the obverse and reverse. Doing so helps us understand the full context of the subject coin. An additional one or two pics closer-in showing the issue(s) in question is ideal. Thanks.
