With these pictures I'd say that anyone responding has a 1 in 9 shot of getting it right.

Just go to Varietyvista and then tell us witch one it is.

This was a challenging mint mark to shoot because depending upon the angle of light, it seems like there are mint mark parts on all exterior sides and one on the right vertical part of the interior D.

Could this be a three punch mint mark?

It's definitely not exactly matched but the closest example I saw is this photo of an LDS stage C RPM-002 on variety vista but mine lacks the distinct vertical interior lines like the example here. This photo shows something on the outer top and outer left of the mm but it's not as pronounced as mine.

This example from variety Vista appears to show two vertical lines on the inside opening of the D but it's only a D over D. Why are there two vertical lines there in addition to the primary D?

Opinions?

We need a clear closeup of the mint mark and a clear closeup of the date with mint mark. Look at the way VV has there pics, that's the way we need them, in order to look at markers. There are many with similar location and RPM direction so it's important to have everything asked for.

Thanks for trying but I cannot tell for various reasons. I do feel it is an RPM but between the circulation damage, the gunk on the top of the mm and the quality of the pic, I'm not sure. There are three that are close in location and similar RPM but once again cannot tell. Maybe see if you can find markers for 002, 003 and 008, on VV.
